Non-DVD video quality on LCDs?

I'm looking at buying an LCD. I'm looking at the Hyundai L90d+, which seems great for gaming, and pretty much everything else, except for videos. In reading around about how good/bad it may be with them though, I've heard people saying that LCDs in general might not be so great for any kind of sub dvd quality (think divx, xvid, just generally anything you would download online) type video, because of the relatively low quality of them. Is this right, or can a good lcd handle these types of videos well?

That all depends on what you think a 'good' LCD is.
As with all things I would go to Best Buy or some similar store. Ask the computer geeks if they would play a Divx or Mpeg on one of their LCD's. If you think its acceptable then go for it.
I have been using a small LCD for my secondary machine. I use it to play movies of all types and I'm happy with it. I use a good quality CRT for my gaming computer. I think the color reproduction and refresh are better for 3D games.
