Anyone know a good website that does professional reviews of SLR type cameras, not digital cameras? I don't want an epinions type site because half those people will say so and so camera is the best because that's what they bought. I want a site that reviews these types of cameras and is honest in their review.
And in case you're wondering, I'm thinking about buying either a Canon Rebel 2000 or a Minolta Maxxum 5. I've heard good things about both, but want a more indepth review by a pro. Thnx!

Bump...please don't make me change the title to something more provacative and nef-a-licious just to get people to view it. I really don't want to stoop to that level...

check out www.photo.net

or photozone.de - it is a an epinions-type site, but people know what they are talking about.

and please don't get a rebel 2000. the canon a2e is by far a better camera and runs used for $250-$300, even thought its design is 7 years older. the rebel 2000 is light though.

good luck.

Wow I'd left this thread for dead. In between then and now I've found a couple good sites like photo.net and popphoto.com. I actually just bought a camera this weekend, a Minolta STsi with a pair of Sigma lenses (a 28-80 and a 70-300). Total cost was $324 off two retailers on eBay.
Thanks for the info though dew042.
