I watched him play for the Trenton Thunder when I was a kid. I have a trenton thunder baseball signed by him laying around somewhere, just not sure where. Was an awesome player.

yup. It was very appropriate. Even after he left, he was still regarded as a red sox. He was that iconic in this city. You knew him coming back in some form was bound to happen.

Cool. I miss Nomar. Was mad when he left.

I wasn't. If you think with your head and not with your heart, it was good timing because of all of the injuries he accumulated. That aside, yes, it stunk to lose him but sports is a business unfortunately. Good to see he enjoyed his time here though :)

That seems pretty cool of him but I'm too cynical he did it for sentimental reasons. He's building back up his value so when he retires he can do commercials and appearances, etc.

Everything is biz and jobs.

Baseball is their career. It's no different than you leaving your hometown for better jobs elsewhere.

"I want to come back so I can retire in Red Sox uniform."

Great marketing. It's purely biz.

Yeah. No more "Nomah!" Anyone else think it is ironic that he was such a pain in the ass about giving interviews when he was in Boston, and now he has decided to take a job on tv?

BTW . . . Jeter drinks wine coolers. That is all.

I heard he signed a deal with ESPN or is rumored to, so yeah, what you said.
