NOMAD Mp3 Players

I'm looking for an Mp3 player for athletic use. I was browsing through the NOMAD selections and had a question about something.

Here are the prices for some of the ones I found.

FULL LIST of PRICINGS
MuVo2 1.5GB - $200
MuVo2 X-Trainer 512MB/1GB - $269 / $500

The X-Trainer is considerably more expensive yet contains less space. It IS the only one that boasts 100% skip-free music, though - but I thought all Mp3 players were skip-free.

Can anyone explain why the X-Trainers are so much more? (Why they're so much better than the 1.5gb MuVo2.)

My guess is the 1.5GB(cheaper on) uses an IBM microdirve

So would you recommend the X-Trainer if I'm going to be running/biking with it?

Do you need that much memory? If not, consider a regular 512mb flash-based player.

i was looking at this exact same product line and had the same dilemma. 512mb flash or 1.5gb microdrive??? it wouldn't be such a hard decision if it weren't for the extra price of the x-trainer. i decided on neither right now seeing that i'm piss broke. i'll just wait for xmas and tell my mom to get it for me as a gift.

The X-Trainer comes with 512MB OR 1GB, the 1gig is way too expensive for me, so I'd be buying the 512. It's just that it's still slightly more expensive than the 1.5gb MuVo2. But I guess the Flash Memory is worth it since i'm gonna be bangin it around.

Now that this is decided, I shall return to my History paper on "Causes for the Rise of Political Parties in the 1790s".
