Nomad IImg and Memory Cards -- Which Format?

I'm a bit confused by the type of flash memory available. I have a Creative Labs Nomad IImg and I want to expand the memory. I have a 32 MB flash card that doesn't work (SmartMedia Format) so I want to be careful this time around.

According to some vendors on NewEgg, looks like there's multiple format of flash that can fit in my MP3 player. One's called SmartMedia and the other one is called MMC. Are they the same? I've never seen an MMC card close up. Which one will work in my Nomad IImg?
