Nokia Vs Hitachi (21")

I'm going to buy a 21" monitor pretty soon, and i've narrowed it down to a Nokia 445pro, and a Hitachi Superscan 813. I can't find any reviews on The Superscan 813, but the specs are better than the Nokia. But my brother has a Nokia 445pro and i know it's a sweet monitor, and it gets good reviews everywhere, and i can get it for cheaper probably. Anyone know anything about the Superscan 813? Or you could reccomend me another monitor.

I have the 813, and it rocks..wouldn't trade it for anything...well, maybe one of those 24" sony monitors..
 
yeah..i have a pic of it on my desk somewhere..i'll find it for you.

I believe it is .22 dot pitch and not any higher(I even heard .20 from some sites) but I don't know if there is any way to tell..all I know is the monitor is beautiful..text, graphics, games, everything is perfect..I have never had any problems or complaints about it..My brother has gone through 3 monitors(Viewsonic something(19"), Samsung 955DF(19"), and a cheap dell 17"..and they look like crap compared to my hitachi..plus he has to do something for all the colors to be right, the text to look good..and it's been a hassle for him.

Are you getting a new, or used one? If it's new, buy the hitachi, otherwise you don't know the condition..

I'm using a Nokia 445Xpro, and at the time I got it, it was pretty high end. However, its quite an old model, and as you probably know by now, Nokia has not been making monitors for at least 2-3 years now. The 445Pro seems to be newer than the 445Xpro, which incidentally uses a Hitachi tube AFAIK. The 445Pro uses the Sony FD Trinitron tube, so its a flat screen, compared to my 445Xpro, which is really quite curvy. If you need any tech support/customer service, I would suggest getting the Hitachi, since Nokia has discontinued its display department.

I have the 445Pro and it's a thing o' beauty but I was really looking for a 19" Hitachi Superscan at the time and I stumbled onto the 21" Nokia at Dell for like $330 delivered... A quick bit of research on specs and reviews and I snatched it up. Otherwise, I'd have gone with the Hitachi but it was a couple hundred $$ more.
