I've got a 5-month-old Nokia 3390 phone, and the screen seems to need fixing. I got this phone for free from my provider here in Canada, but my account with them is now closed. So i was wondering if there's anything i can do to get this phone fixed, or replaced with a new one? Can i get Nokia to do this for me? Or maybe i can call the carrier and tell them that i'm thinking of reactivating the account? The account is still active as a "pay-as-you-go" account too.

Nokia will do it. Just call them. They fixed mine for free when it was 6 months old. Decent turn around time too.

also try through your carrier. I called AT&T and told them that my phone wasn't working and they shipped overnight a new phone (minus the battery and faceplate). They took my word that i'd ship it back. It was a pretty good deal, IMO.

So i can get them to send me a brand new phone right away? Nice! Any idea if they'd let me pick from equally/lesser-priced models?

Just got off the phone with the carrier (FIDO) and they told me that i have to go down to their store and see a technician. If he can't repair the phone, then i'll get a new one. *sigh*
