I have a Lumia 521 that can't locate wifi signals or locate itself on maps or GPS.

My 6 year old niece had been playing with it and managed to delete Here Maps so completely that it's now just a poor lost soul.

I am determined to find a way to fix this.

...any suggestions?

William, thank you for playing! 😉
I've done a soft reset, hard reset, factory reset.....all to no avail.
This past week, I have learned about developers/ing and I didn't know anything about circuitry, firmware vs. software vs. hardware...until I found a site that is so informative and so thorough, It inspired me to keep learning more and ...more and .......MORE! http://www.mobilecellphonerepairing.com/

With all of this cramming for knowledge, I do believe I've narrowed it down to one of the following: The Antenna, Antenna Switch, Network IC or PFO.

HERE Maps launches but it simply isn't able to geolocate. WIFI is the same way as well as any other process requiring a location, so I'm inclined to think it's a hardware issue and not the software.

I have a spare Lumia 521 I'm going to use parts from later tonight.
I'll keep you posted, success or fail!
