Heh, yea, trying to make a system last 4 years is pretty hard. I've upgraded the sh!t out of this sys, good thing im in the middle of building a new duron rig. Couldnt believe i paid $3,500 for my mmx rig. I was gonna get a Duel Pentium Pro but gave into the MMX hype

The first $40 coupon comes in the box, so everyone gets it (even if you don't activate "new" service). I got a brief look at the $60 rebate coupon that comes with the Nokia 5190 (I figure the terms are the same for the $100 rebate on the 8290). It said that 90 days service was required, so you may not need to sign a contract. The first downside to no contract is that you don't get the bonus weekend minutes. The second is that you may not get the second $40 coupon from the rep.

Note: I've seen new 8290's sell for around $190 with no contract on some online auctions recently.
