Nokia 6255i vs Kyocera KX5

Is that Kyocera a rebadged Samsung phone? It just looks like it.

I bet my regular cellphone is much crappier than your LG. Its an old Seimens...and it's monochrome....doesn't even have colour.

My BB 8700 isn't that bad though. 😉

I have the 6255i. It's a solid phone. A bit on the bulky side, but not by much. It gets very good reception, bluetooth is fully functional (not cripped at all, you can transfer files and whatnot). The media player uses MMC cards, which kind of sucks since they tend to be more expensive, but it works well enough. It's not an iPod by any means, but, it plays songs..

I've used the Slider Remix as well, and it's MUCH improved over the previous Slider phone Kyocera put out. Overall, it works very nicely. It feels a bit flimsy, but I really like the design, and the media player (uses Transflash cards) works great.

Either way, you'd be getting a good phone. I'd just goto the Alltel store and play around with them and see which you like better.

And I agree about Alltel, never been more satisifed with a wireless company! You may not get the great deals on the phones themselves like you can with other companies, but the rates are good and the service is excellent!

Between the two listed, Nokia! I have a LG VX8100 and I miss my Nokia bar-style 3589i dearly, even though it lacked sooo many features. The menus, text-messaging, and call quality were the best I've ever had. This will surely be my last non-Nokia phone, I assure you that. (I'm a Verizon customer)

The V710 is the 'older' brother to the new E815. The V710 uses a memory card called 'trasflash'...it's extremely tiny! I bought a 256MB transflash card for my friend for his birthday for his V710. We shat our pants when he took it out of the case. It was the SanDisk brand and came with a nice plastic case and a transflash-->SD adapter.

I'm quite surprised you're using such a sh!tty phone NFS.

But at least you're redeeming yourself by finally upgrading😉

Well, it is just a phone. And as a phone, it gets the job done.
