the nokia 6230i is a good piece. a couple of friends use it and they like it. plus any nokia > sony in terms of reliability.

i  MY 6230i.
I gave my girlfriend my 6230 and upgraded to the i.
been happier ever since :D
the only nag about it is the mmc thing.
but after you get a nice size, its all good.
I'va got an extra 256 if anyone's interested.

i've played with sonys and can't get used to their system.
Nokias is what I have always been happy with. I've got several other used brands in boxes collecting dust.

If you over 6ft I would stay away from the 6230. Its too small for larger hands. I had to switch to a V551 after using the 6230 for a few weeks.

I'm 6" and the buttons are great.

oh yea, and another plus is that nokias are super easy to unlock. so u don't have to pay unlocked prices.
and the bluetooth is great. even with my mac.

Well, it was too small for me. I'd often hit two buttons at the same time. The directional and select button sucks. It should be like a eraser pointer instead of the concave button.

Bluetooth works with the mac, but not with iSync.
