Any 6230b users here? What Bluetooth headsets/PC dongles work especially well with this phone? Newegg has a wide selection of dongles from about $10 up, but I don't want to get stuck with a cheap one that doesn't work very well. Wireless headsets... bbllah, I guess I have to research those.
Turns out I got the last 6230b from my Cingular store. I'm a happy camper. I guess they haven't gotten the new shipment of ENS 6230 phones.
What a difference from my V400. The Nokia has rock solid reception in places the Moto would drop calls. I've made several calls with one bar of signal, and they were all crystal clear with no noise. It's great. My primary reason for choosing the 6230b is the reception, but even I didn't expect it to be this good.
My house may very well be made of lead, because the moment you step inside, signal strength drops to 10-30%, despite the TWO towers plainly visible from my location. But the 6230 doesn't care.
My friend was complaining about the small screen (128x128, nowhere near as bright or clear as the one on my V400), but with all this other functionality, I don't really care. Build quality is not bad, but the phone doesn't try to hide the fact that it's made of plastic. The battery cover moves a little if you push it, and the power button on top moves if you shake the phone a bit, but it's a Nokia, and that kind of thing has always been par for the course. Honestly, it's not bad. The keypad has a good feel, except for the center of the D pad.
