I'm about to get T-Mobile service and this is their free phone. Isn't it pretty old? The other phones are nice but they are gonna charge me, should I bite the bullet and get this or get a newer phone?

I have one and it is a good, rugged phone. See if you can "test drive" the phone first. Mine didn't have the best reception. I would recommend the samsung Q105. Nice phone.

i have the 3390 now and have had no problems with it, i actually got better reception with this phone than i did with my 8290. if you have the $$$ get a better phone, but if you dont, the 3390 will do. btw i'm in the houston area...

3390 is a nice phone, decent reception. Only problem is it falls out of your pocket easily.

the 3395 is the newer version of the 3390. i don't think tmobile/voicestream has them though.

I love my 3390. Nice, solid, and fits comfortably in my pocket, unlike the 5190 I had (freakin' brick with an antenna).

okay, i own a company and have 3 phones on it, shared. 1 for me, 2 for employees.

I bought myself the "best" phone, whatever that means..

I bought the Samsung Q105. It has good organizer, in it, etc. etc. love the phone

i bought them, or got them it was free, nokia 3390. we got 2 of those.

believe me, the 3390 is GOOD PHONE. i tinkered with it before i gave it up to the employees. it has generation 2 nokia games, advanced locking functions, voice activated dialing, excellent reception, tough, and i believe it has lower radiation than my "200 dollar" phone.

it is not a bad phone by any standards, it is above average.

however, go get in on the amazon.com deal, where you can get the Motorola V60G phone for free after MIR. if you can get that, that is better. otherwise, the 3390 is good.

My only rant is where they placed the call/menu button. If i forget to lock my keys, I usually end up calling 1/2 my phone book. :(
