What's it called and what size do i need? The screws are tiny, 6-corner, snowflake-shaped types.

Torx #6, if it's like the other models.

Someone confirm?
It's definitely a Torx driver that's needed, but the size can vary. #10, #15, and #20 are the sizes I commonly run into, but that's been on refridgerator doors and the odd medium-sized machinery. Now that I think about it, it's definitely less than a #10 Torx, but I'm sure that it's Torx.

Personally, I hate Torx screws, the things strip so damn easily.

take it with you to a decent hardware store and poke at it with torx bits until one fits, some may have single drivers, some may have those with multiple rods that fold over each other

if nothing else theyll have a set of drill bits that should have various size and type drivers

if only everyone would use a damned phillips screwdriver all the time, gah

Meh philips only suck marginally less than torx.

Robertson screws are where it's at (Square head). They are very hard to strip relative to Philips (and Torx I think)...and the size is very well defined...stupid philips drivers always come to a point so you end up needing a much bigger one than it looks like.

With Robertson the driver has a square peg, the screw has a square hole, they fit together perfectly, and turn nicely, and rarely strip.

They are very nice. Unfortunately I've never seen a Robertson screw on anything but wood.
