The bearing or whatever it is on the slide track is very noisy. I tried wd40 and that worked for a while, but it's back to being noisy. Does anyone have some better lubrication ideas? Thanks :)

The roller is probably worn out, aluminum or nylon?

Not sure. Gotta take it off the track and check it out this week.

Repeat after me: WD40 is not a lubricant, it is a solvent.

Try SuperLube or some other silicon based lubricant.

Silicon will work for awhile but eventually the rollers will need to be replaced. Depending on how the door is installed this can be an epic undertaking. Our door was installed and then tile was installed around the track. To fix the door we would have had to remove the tile. We opted to remove the sliding door and replace it with french doors since the labor involved wasn't much more.

Won't be hard for us. We can lift it off the track and set it outside to inspect the roller. It's 11 years old, so it no doubt needs to be replaced.

You can just lift the door off the track?

Even for a slider that's 11 years old, that's unusual.

The rollers on the bottom should be adjustable for height, and normally, you have to lower those rollers down to remove the slider.

You'll need to remove the door and thoroughly clean those rollers. (top & bottom if so equipped) Most lubricants will attract dust/dirt, sop apply sparingly. (I used "dry silicone spray" on mine before we replaced the doors)

Here's some tips:
