Noisy fan in a gigabit switch - what to do

I just bought this Trendnet 8+2 port switch (8 10/100mbps, 2 10/100/1000), and the fan is extremely noisy. Noisier than several of my PC's combined. Is there anything to do about this or should I just find a way to get it as far away from my working environment as possible?

You could always take the fan out and splice in a quieter one.

as beatle said, but make sure the fan is only loud--not loud and also moving TONS of air. If it's just plain loud (like older Enlight [HPC] PSUs), replace it with a cheap (but goot) quieter fan.
