noisy cpu fan please help

I've got a really noisy cpu fan and it makes the noises at random. The noises usually go away after i bang the side of the case a few times.

I've openend the case and had a look but there aren't any wires near it except one wire which goes from the fan to the MoBo. I've moved that wire around but that doesn't stop the noise.

Any suggestions on what i could do?

Make sure it is properly secured to the heatsink. If that doesn't help, get a new one.

Could also mean that the ball bearings in the fan got fsckered up fer some reason, had that happen to me before.

your cpu fan bearing is dying, get a new one, one day it will stop making noise witch meens it stopped turning. don't bang your case while computer is turned on... you might develope bad sectors on your hd...
