noises coming from my psu?

it sounds like two plastic spoons tapping on each other. i just started hearing it today after i got home from work. now it is stopped, and the only way i will hear it again is if i gently pound my fist on the table. anyone ever encounter a situation like this before? i'm using a 550w enermax psu.

lol. i have the same problem with my powersupply but I don't have to tap on my desk to get it to make the noise. lil noises like that drive me crazy. i tested each one of my fans in my system because i thought they were the problem. i have no clue what causes it or how to remedy the problem. i just moved my case to the floor and I can't hear it anymore.

maybe you fan is rubbng against something.

Must be the fans, because I think those are the only moving parts inside the power supply. (Or just stop pounding your fist on your desk).

It's getting ready to explode!!!

j/k but see the 2 exploding-Antec threads. Must be a fan problem, make sure airflow is OK or it could overheat and then it really could die on you.
