Noise/interference when playing music

I have noticed lately that there's this weird "noise" when playing music on my computer. I've never had it before. I recently updated my sound drivers to the latest ones, so maybe that could be it?

Is there a "best" set of drivers for a VIA Envy24 HT-S chip? I am currently using them at "Hi Sample Rate".

Could it be something else? I did check the connections and they seem fine.

might try cleaning or swapping your cable, it sounds like its just not making a good connection. i have the same soundcard hooked to my theater stereo and i get no noise...

I tried cleaning my case/audio card, but it didn't really fix it. I also reverted back to older drivers. The noise happens even when I use headphones, so I am not sure it's actually the speakers?
