I have a systematic problem with noise coming from kids running around, and jumping up and down from upstairs of my apartment. It seems as if there is a constant thunder coming from upstairs. I live in columbus, ohio. Is there a law that i can use to help me out? Every time I go upstairs, the kids answer the door and their mom doesn't come to the door at all... kids give some excuse... mom is in bathroom, mom is on phone. I am getting very frustrated. The landlady doesn't want to get involved unless I talked to her first. Help!!!

Make your landlord get involved. Otherwise call the cops and file a noise complaint.

talk to the parents about keeping the kids quiet past a certain time of day.

write a letter if necessary.

What time of the day? If they are young kids left alone then you could call on that.

Not just one particular time of day. All around the day... sometimes all night as well. I go to school and this is just a pain in the rear. My grades are taking a hit because of that. Damn

fire up some AC/DC at random times in the day. Make sure its loud enough to shatter your eardrums. That way if they don't get the hint, you will be deaf anyways.
