Noise from Antec True380s power supply when scrolling

Searched these forums and googled, but am still wondering what's going on with my box. Box is completely "untweaked" and is your typical system (P4 2.8, P4P800-E Dlx, 1 gig corsair memory, AIW 9800 Pro, 80G WD hard drive, DVD drive) driving a 17" Viewsonic CRT monitor.

I have a Sonata case with the Antec True380s power supply. Whenever I tax my video card a little bit, I get a "ticking" noise from the power supply. It's most obvious scrolling down web pages (using either the mouse or arrow keys). When I scroll, the power supply makes a ticking sound (it's like someone's using a zipper while I scroll, but as soon as I stop scrolling, the sound stops). Nothing else seems to be affected - performance is fine, temperatures are fine, voltage readings are fine.

I was hoping someone in the brain trust might have an idea of what's going on. Any ideas? Should I just replace it to be safe?

So, brings up a second question - if I replace the power supply, what should I replace it with? I'm having a hard time finding the single fan version of the Antec Ture380 PS - would the 2-fan version be that much louder? I really like the quiet case (and thus why the ticking annoys the crap out of me). Any recommendations for another brand?

HELP!!!

Off hand I would say try another mouse. But you say it clicks when you tax the video card. Then if you run a video card test like 3dMark it should sound like rain on a tin roof.

Are you using a cordless mouse?

Should've included more info. Through swapping of difference equipment, the problem is definately with the power supply, not the mouse or display or graphics card. The "scrolling" is just the easiest way to reproduce the problem.

RMA the ps. The 380s is a nice quiet unit, you just got a bum one. I recently built 2 computers with the 380s, both are real quiet and don't click.

Thanks Woody. I'll RMA it as advised - sure wish I knew what the issue was as I'm just really curious.

I had the same problem couple months ago. Swapped video card (9500pro to 9800pro) and the problem went away.
