Noise-Cancelling Headphones

I work in an office environment. We don't have cubicles, so noise travels pretty well. The sound of the keyboards around me drives me nuts. <CLACK>, <CLICK>, <CLACK> all day long. I find it very distracting, and I find it to be a really unpleasant noise.

A couple months ago I purchased some really nice Sennheiser headphones. They're just isolating, though. When I have my music turned up, they do a pretty good job of blocking out the surrounding noises (it's a dramatic improvement over the cheap pair I had before), but these keyboards are apparently the bane of my existence and still manage to make enough noise to distract me.

Now here's my question: if you had to hazard a guess, are noise-canceling headphones even going to block out the sound of keyboards? From reviews I've read, it sounds like (in general), noise-canceling headphones fare better at blocking out low, thunderous noises -- things like trains, planes, traffic, etc... I don't know where the "clicking" sound of a keyboard falls on the audio scale...

So two questions:
a) do you think a quality pair of noise-canceling headphones would block out keyboard noises? (not from my own keyboard, but from my coworkers who are 5-10 feet away) personal experiences / stories would be awesome...
b) any recommendation on a cheap ($100-ish) pair?

i don't think it would work well against clicking keyboards, maybe try iems or something with higher sound isolation.

How about this idea: what if I bought a pair of earmuffs and then wore some small earbuds underneath? How much of the sound protection would I lose from the cord of the earbuds 'breaking' the seal the earmuffs are making?

EDIT: looking around on Amazon, it looks like this is a really common combination. I think I'm going to go this route instead.

Thanks for thoughts though, guys.
