I have this setup and I noticed that when I'm just doing normal web browsing, the 140mm fan on the Noctua is NOT spinning.
I'm running CoreTemp and it shows temps in the low-mid 30's.

Seems like the fan will spin up once it hits the 40's though.

I have the fans plugged into CPU_FAN and CPU_OPT, and it's the CPU_OPT that I believe is stopping.
On the MB, I have the CPU fans set to a Standard profile.

While I'm not complaining, since so far I haven't seen my setup overheating, I just wanted to make sure this could occur.

I haven't upgraded in four years, so it's my first foray into PWM enabled fans.

Case wise, I have a TJ-09.
two 120 fans as intake (rear and drive fans, with the rear blowing into the cooler Scythe S-Flex set to 50%)
two 120 fans uptake (Scythe Kama-Flow PWM enabled)
Noctua is oriented to blow downward (takes air from the top) this was done to get clearance for my memory.

Thanks.

You have fan control turned on in the BIOS so it is adjusting the fan speed depending on temps.

Personally I would go into the BIOS and disable it as the BIOS does not correctly read the CPU temps and tends to read the temp as 10C lower than it really is. Once you do that the fans will spin at full speed all the time.

The fans are very quiet, doubtful you'll notice the difference.

I'm using CoreTemp and RealTemp, which seems to follow the behaviour.

I ran prime95 overnight and the temps never went over 70 according to RealTemp.
I'll tweak with it some more.
