Noctua D-14 won't fit Foxconn 1366 mobo

It's not the headroom, it's the fact that the mounting holes through the mobo are so tiny that the mounting bolts from the Noctua don't stand a chance of going through them. Oops. Now what? Take the mobo to a machine shop and have the holes drilled out? Er... not a good idea... 🙁
 
This happened with me. I got three with the correct diameter and one that was like .50mm too thick.

Contact their support and let them know. They will send you a new mounting kit.

If you look at the first photo you'll see the winged socket backplate on my mobo looks like. And you can see that the holes in the metal are miniscule! This guy tried some different screws but I don't know if that's a good solution or not. 🙁
