The right front speakers tweeter was not working:|
I HONESTLY thought I had slowly been getting deaf or something. Upon messing replacing the speaker cable, trying it on different channels, trying a multitude of sin waves etc, I am now sure that the right tweeter is kaput🙁
In addition, the speaker is biampable, so they have two sets of interconnected binding posts. I took off the interconect to try them seperately. I THINK that one powers the tweeter and one powers the woofer, distributed by the interconnect if you want them to share your power, but am not sure. Either way, the top set does not work at all, while the bottm set does, allowing only the woofer to do its thing.
These speakers, Mirage Frx-5's, are very good. If anything, I am impressed that the 6.5 woofer made it to 1100hz falwlessly. I was going to go higher, until I realized that only the woofer was working
The tweeter on my GOOD, left speaker, is FABULOUS at 15000hz by the way😀
These things have a 5year warrenty so I can just take it back to the Home theater store and they will take care of it for me😀...
