my roommate was running p2p and sharing. no wonder the outgoing log had lots of ips! blocked all the ports from 1025 to 6000

need a better way to block the p2p!

only lamers use p2p, I hate it completely with all my heart. I only want to share the files with the people I know and I DO NOT use any p2p.

i totally agree with poster, sharing is honorable and all but when youre on a residential connection - cable/ESPECIALLY adsl, any up kills your down

Dunno about you but I can pretty much max out both directions on my adsl. Even when I use say 75% of my upload and 0% download I can still get new downloads initiating pretty quickly. The only problem would be if it ever maxes on upload and you want to start a new download, it takes a while to balance it out.
