Indeed. It's the only Ford part in my car AFAIK and it's the only part that doesn't work. 😛

it's not a ford part, it's a motorola part.

only the chipset is motorola.

How did I figure out my airbag computer wasn't working? Airbag light. I counted the number of flashes and looked up the error code in my shop manual.

Impressive, I never knew that the airbag indicator light gave error codes. 😱

Depending on what car we're talking about... quite a few of the DIC lights are able to display error codes... much the same way many sirens/horns/chimes are able to sound 'beep codes'
