I have the Netgear WGR614 G Router and the Netgear WG111 Wireless G USB Adapter.
I have the router hooked up in the other room, by the TV, which is also connected to the XBox. In the computer room, I have the WG111 connected to my USB port, with the software correctly installed.

I can get a couple of signals from my neighbors, but I want to connect to mine. Is there something I am doing wrong? Why do I get no connection from the Wireless Router to the Computer? I have the Motorola SB5100 Cable Modem. All lights are lit up, only thing is that the Connect light at the bottom is solid, and is not blinking.

Please help me if you can.

You havent said if the router has been set up properly and is connecting to modem. After the initial hook up you have to recycle every device for a stable connection. You need to pull out the router manual and go thru the set up process - change the admin password - broadcast initially to pick it up on the wireless pc/laptop - add encrytion - and then other additional safety features. Check if the wan light on the router is on. If you dont have the cable modem documentation, go to motorola's website and check Front-Panel Lights and Error Conditions in the user guide.
