Recently, i was trying to overclock my celly 500, and I had to clear the CMOS to get it to POST. After that I had some troubles, but that's all good now, I just needed to install the MB drivers. But now when I shut down my computer, instead of getting the "Windows is now shutting down" screen, I just get a blank screen with like a blinking cursor. I know this isn't really a big deal, but I would like to have it back... or change it to something nicer.. thanks for any help...

Throw your windows98 disk in the cdrom drive and let it reinstall over the current version and when it asks you if you want to save your current system files you say YES. This will fix just about any problems that might have occured with windows when you redid your hardware.

Hope it works for ya!
