k then: windows wont load. if i try the safe mode with the step by step readout, i can get it to start, but obviously cant do anything with the text UI. so- i need to reinstall windows, right?
unfortunately, i cant find my cd (xp home). i still have my cd-key, thank god, but no disc. so- do i have to borrow someone elses, or is there something i havent tried yet?
and no, i dont have any other copies of windows- this was my first non-mac, and all the other computers i have running around here are macs.
