According to this video, there's no wifi capability on the upcoming Palm Pixi.

What the hell was Palm thinking?
That its intended as a cheaper alternative to the Pre, which does have WiFi, and that 90% of people would never use the Pre's WiFi anyways?
I liked the Pixi because its not a slider and its thin, but that's a deal killer for me, especially when its supposed to be web-enabled with its webOS. What if you can't get signal at your workplace?

I never use the WiFi on my phone. Sprint's EVDO service is quite fantastic.

I guess wifi is big if you live in an area that doesn't have very good coverage - but I almost never turn wifi on with my phones, and I've had it on all of my phones for years.

Wifi isn't so bad. I'm on campus all day and make use of wifi since it uses less battery overall than EVDO.

Doesn't seem like a big deal to me. I almost never use Wi-Fi on my iPhone unless I want to use it to control iTunes. Turning on Wi-Fi just means my battery drains faster.
