We had the memorial service for my friend Gwyn at our "hippie church" last Sunday. Yesterday, her husband Steve uploaded the entire 1 and 1/2 hour vid to youtube.

Here are some snippets:

Gwyn's last words.

Her straight-ahead style, no BS style, which made her exceptionally easy to hang with.

Gwyn and her boobs in a gold lame halter top stepping up and coming to Rocky and his monkey puppet Bongo's rescue from the State Police at our church camp after he wandered into the nearby small Adirondack town one day and scared the natives.

^^^ About a minute in you can hear me exclaim from the cheap seats, "What could possibly go wrong?" :p

Yeah, my church is looser and more gonzo and like none other that you've ever experienced. We were kicked out of the first two camps we went to.

And finally, also on youtube, Gwyn's kickstarter pitch from 3 years ago, from better days.

Gonna' miss you, Gwyn. :(

Flagged for copyright? That's pretty low for YouTube.

edit: works fine through laptop, but not mobile / smartphone.

Interfaith, zero dogma, fun, full of creative people . . . that sort of thing.

Interesting, I've never heard of anything like that before. Growing up and living in conservative, small, midwest towns, I don't think there are any groups like that around here.

I'm sorry Perk, she looks like she was a hell of a gal and losing those kind of friends isn't easy. She was lucky to have you as a friend. Your concern for her memory is touching, and I salute you sir.

Hang in there buddy. :(

RIP Gywn, good people miss you.

She seems like the type of person you run across maybe once in your life and I'm glad for you, Perk, that you got to know her well. I love memorial services full of laughter because it tells you about how the departed affected people while here on earth. Enjoyed the video.
