I know my little complaint and the post is pretty minor but still its an irritant for other sellers on the forum getting bumped back down
everyone on this board should be able to watch and report as they surf through for any problems or offensive or illegal posts and it would help get rid of the 'wannabe' mods jumping on the noobies
the mod looks and either ignores or acts, otw the mods would need to be online watching all the time and checking each post and response
I know other boards I frequent have this 'report a post' feature and although each forum has a different character based on the frequent posters and the new ones, I haven't seen this to be abused to my knowledge.
Come to think of it, I dont often see mod locks on this board and most mod postings are stickied or warnings but I know they're active in the background because it runs fairly smooth here.
how can you abuse 'report this post'?
If you make it to easy for the idiots to send complaints when their feathers get ruffled, then legit messages will be hard to get to.
or 'contact a mod' link?
There is one. Acts the same as PM a mod. Takes a little work, this way the issue above is taken into account

Locks and bolded Mod comments are usually visible.

The methods are there, just not made easily available for the wanna-bes.

The Mods are volunteers, they do not have the time to continualy monitor all the information that flows through the system.
They use their best judgement and try to rely on responsible people to do the right thing.
Different Forums here have different levels of required supervision. Those where abuse can happen or the kiddies continually make an attempt to either circumvent the common sense rules or be immature are more heavily moderated.
