i have a asus xonar d2x pcie sound card and a playstation 3
the playstation 3 is outputing pcm stereo via optical cable to my sound card, and then my sound card is connected to my headphone
my os is vista x64 sp2, i checked monitoring in the spdif setting then im able to hear sound coming from optical
everything is good expect for one big problem
the problem is that i can not adjust the volume coming from the optical cable
i tried adjuesting the master overall volume but that only affect the sound coming from my computer, the sound from optical is not affacted, also tried changing the volume setting in my SPDIF in, that slider has no effect at all
i tried to use a software media player to output the sound from spdif and uncheck monitoring, but there is a delay for doing it this way
anyone know why the volume slider is not working, and how can i adjust the volume?
