For some reason, I can't seem to get any video out of my computer. I've tried both my BFG 6800GT and my old 9600XT and neither worked. I've also used both my current Viewsonic and old Dell monitors and nothing. I've seated and reseated both cards several times and made sure that the power was connected to the BFG. I've tried resetting the CMOS a few times and nothing. It happened to me yesterday as well, but it started working again out of the blue after a few minutes.

It happened right after I tossed my crappy Thermaltake Volcano 12 in the trash and put on my new Thermalright SI-97. Everything lights up and all the fans spin and everything, but there's just no video. Please help.

and if you need them, here's my system specs:

AMD 2400+ mobile 24w
Thermalright SI-97 heatsink w/ 92mm Panaflo fan
ASUS A7N8X-E deluxe mobo
BFG 6800GT OC
512mb Corsair XMS pc3200 RAM
Plextor PX-712A DVDRW/CDRW
80gb WD 7200rpm HDD (2)
Thermaltake Silent Purepower 480w PSU
Antec Sonata Case

Hmm. do you have on board video? It should not matter, but make sure it is off if you do.

Also, your agp slot might be dead. Are there any beeps when you start your computer?

The board doesn't have onboard video.

I forgot about the cpu fan header on the mobo. I had it connected to the PSU. I put it on the mobo and still nothing.

A few weeks back i was working on wire management in my case and had removed all the jumper wires. the speaker was the only one i had gotten wrong when putting them back, so it hasn't beeped at all in a couple weeks, despite working perfectly. Now that it's fresh on my mind, I'm gonna go do that and see about the beeps.

I was thinking the same thing about the dead agp slot, but i was hoping that I wouldn't have to buy a new mobo.

if that's the case, then it wasn't noticable. it's been a while since i've had any kind of electrostatic shock.
