No video with hauppauge pvr 350

Just installed it, the drivers, and ran a splitter to my cable, I scanned for the channels and it found all of them. But when I go to view them it stays at a black screen. But the audio goes from mono to stereo so it's getting something but I get no sound or video. What could be the prob? I"ve tried using Cable, Cable (HRC), and antannae all with the same results. Thanks

I have a new thread here about using PC's for Home Entertainment management, in which the Hauppauge products were suggested. So I was reading their promotional material on their web site. It looked to me as if their tuner was intended to connect to your VGA card for you to view live feeds on the PC's display, and only to be able to view recorded material on the TV itself.

Since that wasn't what I wanted, I have sent an eMail to Hauppauge's technical department about how I might use such a device to view live TV feeds on the TV, not on the local display. Which video device is it that you are seeing no output on?

I got it to work after calling their tech support. For one reason or another the drivers didn't install properly. Works perfectly now and i'm loving it. I did hear however that their default software isn't very good quality wise. What good tv tuning software do those of you with tuner cards reccomend?
