No Video Signal

I haven't tested the monitor yet, but I'm almost certain the on-board video card has gone out in my friends computer, if it ends up being the case, I'll be looking for a video card. It's a Gateway, the PSU is only 305W and I have no intentions of investing in a bigger one, we just need a working cheap, 16x PCI-e video card. Any recommendations would be highly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
