No Video Signal After Cold Boot

Been having some issues with my monitor not getting a video signal after a hard reset. If I restart my PC from within Windows if comes right back up at POST but if I power it off it has to sit for at least 30-45 minutes before the monitor comes up with the system.

It is not a video card issue as I've changed them out.

Has anyone had this issue? Also, what signals the monitor to come on during at POST?

Thanks C1! I'll give that a try. What's the lifespan of one of these batteries? I built this PC about 5 years ago.

Five years is right on the money for expected end of service life of a lithium button battery. (In fact that's pushing it if the OEM battery wasnt spanking fresh.)

Also, if using an add-on video remember the installation procedure.
With machine off - Remove any add-on card, change the battery, then boot into the BIOS and disable the onboard video, then shut machine down, install add-on video card, then reboot.

I reset the BIOS and all hell broke loose! Blue screened like crazy. lol It turned out to be a bad HDD. Even though it wasn't the battery you still helped me figure out my problem. Thanks again!

Glad that it worked out. Also, if your lithium battery was 5 years old it needed to be replaced. It was another potential issue lurking that could have caused similar symptoms at any time.
