No video shows up on G4

Ok my boss dug out an old G4 for a new employee to start training on a couple days ago. We went to turn it on and it worked so I went ahead and installed the Final Cut suite. Then the next day when I went to turn it on it sounded like it booted up but no video. It even had the apple sound. So I switched the monitors, and cables. Still same thing. So I figured the video card died, so I purchased a 9800 Pro Mac Edition. Installed it yesterday, it came up fine. Then after the game I went to go install iLife, and it didn't get any video again. Nothing shows up on the screen. So I tried switching monitors and cables again and still nothing. What should I try?

You should try typing "no video G4" into google. Here is what I got:
