Hey guys, my brother just put together a computer and like the title suggests there is no video output. As far as i can tell everything all the connections from the case to the motherboard are fine (power switch, HDD LED, etc), i triple checked to make sure they were. everything is getting power when turned on (video cards fan is spinning, hard drive gets power, dvd drive gets power). We have tried both the DVI and VGA ports from the video card to the monitor and still nothing comes up, cant get into the BIOS at all and there are no beeps or anything that seems to indicate something is wrong. I have ran out of ideas :(

he has an

Motherboard - msi p55-cd53
CPU - core i5-750
Ram - 6 GB
Video Card - EVGA 8400 GS
PSU - OCZ gameXstream 600w

go to the bare minimum. and see if it will boot then. Also make sure you don't have any shorts in the case. May want ot set it up outside the case and see if you can get it to boot.

well in case you are wondering what the problem was, it was the PSU. Even though it was a 600w (which was more then enough for the system) it wasn't delivering the correct amount of volts on one of the connections. This was really frustrating as everything seemed to be getting power just fine, anyway we replaced the PSU with a 430w thermaltake brand PSU and everything worked fine
