no video output?

I've been working on my brother's PC--it's a Leadtek K7NCR18G Pro (Nforce 2 IGP using onboard video) and cannot figure out what's wrong with it. It will not output anything to the monitor at all, and when it turns on the caps lock, num lock, and scroll lock keys all flash repeatedly in unison.

I've tried putting a graphics card into the AGP slot (to no avail), and I've gone down to one stick of memory. I think the PSU is good, and the memory is Corsair Value Select PC2700. I'm not sure what to try next--any ideas or recommendations would be greatly appreciated! TIA

Are everything hooked correctly?
Disable onboard video and put a good ,working, stable video card?-4x/8x etc depending upon support.Chech all parts separately with other comps.
Final suggestion call at a service centre.

I'm hearing a common cause of nada showing up on the monitor is an improper IDE cable hook up. Recheck the IDE cable(s).

I checked the CMOS--could it be a bad battery? I can't see that causing it but a few things I've run across blame that for the flashing keyboard lights. I'll recheck the IDE cables too.

It also can't be any card conflicts, because I don't have any add in cards on this system--it's completely all on the motherboard itself.

Thanks for the continued help and suggestions

I get nothing from the speaker, unfortunately, and I've checked the IDE cables, I've swapped in two different graphics/memory, etc, cards, and I still get the same thing--fans spin, lights are on, keyboard LED indicators flash in unison over and over, and not a bit of video output to the monitor. Any other suggestions? I'm kinda desperate (or rather my brother is--this is his college PC).
