No Video Output Problem

Last week after leaving my computer on standby for the night, I tried bringing it out of standby in the morning. It would not respond even though it was on. After resetting, I got no video output to either of my monitors. I tested the card in another computer and it worked, and I tested a different card in my own computer, which did not function.

I ordered a Chaintech VNF4 Ultra, a Venice 3000+, and a Radeon X800XL, installed them, and encountered pretty much the same problem. My new power supply is on the way, so I didn't get a chance to test that yet. As of now, I am currently using my old power supply.

I tried disconnecting everything from the motherboard except the AGP card and the motherboard power connector. I still get no video output (AGP or DVI), but when I try and connect a molex to either of my DVD drives and attempt to open it, it does not open. Power is being supplied through the molex, because it works on one of my case fans.

Has anyone ever seen a problem like this? Is it a power supply problem?

Thanks for the help!

Well its hard to say for sure, but my first guess would be to say that yes it is a power supply problem.

It could also be the processor, i had my comp left on all night the next day, it would not show anything. I eventually figured it out by putting in another processor. Took me a week to figure it out, hope this helps.
