CPU: AMD 5600X
RAM: 32gb Corsair vengeance lpx
GPU: 1080 GTX
MOBO: Gigabyte Aorus
PSU: Red Dragon 750w
So had this build for about 3 years, almost exactly to the day when it ran fine and then suddenly I had no video output upon power on. RGB lights and fans on GPU, mobo, ram all worked fine but I have no way of testing another video output since my CPU doesn't have onboard video. I have disassembled everything, cleaned all connections with electronic cleaner. After assembly it wouldn't power on, discovered that the CMOS battery was 2.6 volts so replaced that and it powered on but still no video. Tried to update bios using Qflash USB but QFlash LED wouldn't light so that's why I assumed perhaps the bios chip failed and replaced MOBO. After that I noticed one of the molex connectors powering case fans had no power output so though perhaps the PSU wasn't putting out proper power to everything so replaced that with a RD 750w. Then I tried replacing the HDMI cable to TV. Swapped around HDMI ports on TV.
So all the fans, RGB lights etc seem to work fine but still no video. However, now I cannot power off by holding down the power button and instead have to flip the switch on PSU. With prior MOBO I could. I figured that even if the GPU has failed that I'd still be able to power down normally right? So I'm not sure where to go from here other than replacing GPU but since I can't power down with the case button that perhaps there's another issue or maybe I got a bad MOBO but I don't have anything else I can test with. I have never had a GPU nor CPU fail on me before, so not sure what the symptoms for those are. Any suggestions?
