No Video Output from Computer

recently my computer had been BSOD'ing a lot, so i ran memtest and figured out my two sticks of Corsair XMS 512-3200XLPT were flawed (errors in tests 4 and 7). To ready my computer for the RMA of the sticks, I bought two sticks of 512-3200XLPRO to put in my system. After i put the new ram in (slots A1 and B1), my computer booted but did not output video. I tried then switching in the old ram, nothing. The computer booted and worked well with the old ram, until i played games, so I figured it should've worked. Then I switched the video card (eVGA 6800 Ultra) out, and replaced it with a Ti500 that is known to be working, and still nothing. What could possibly be the problem?

A64 3500+
Asus A8V Deluxe Mobo
Corsair XMS 512-3200XLPT (x2)
WD Raptor 36 GB
WD Caviar 120 GB SATA
Via Envy 24ht-s sound card

Tried: new ram (XMS-3200XLPRO), other video card (MSI Geforce 3 Ti500)

Since we can eliminate compatiability as these two brands match and Corsair rarely has these problems, we need to make sure, are you doing any overclocking? Have you adjusted the RAM timings in the past? as we all know that can cause issues with new RAM. Also to note, a bad motherboard can also cause errors in memtest, but lets try to rule out simple things before pointing to hardware.

umm my ram timings were at 2-2-2-5 at 2.8V. i have never OC'd the RAM (was waiting to buy a 120-xp for my A64), so it shouldn't have any issues with that. i'm going to try another pair of Corsair XMS from my friend, the 512-3200LLPRO, to see if they work.

just tried the sticks of low latency, and the LEDs light up but still no video output.

If you've tried two video cards with the same results, and you're *sure* the monitor and cable are OK, then it's probable the motherboard is bad.

Before anything else, however, I'd try removing and reseating everything; all the power connections, all the cards, pretty much everything but the CPU. Might be something as simple as a flaky power connector.

ok, i'll try to reconnect everything in hopes of getting it to work. i've tried the computer with two monitors also, one a brand new Samsung 930B and one a 21" Mitsubishi CRT. neither worked at all.

make sure the RAM is in extremely tight. i had the same problem just now, where both vid cards i swapped didn't work, but then the ram clip had been unlocked since the 6800 gt is so long. pushed it back, everything fine.

i tried all that. tightened the ram, made sure the clips were in place. still nothing. should i RMA my mobo?
