System:
Know working parts, from previous build:
Antec True power 450 watt
Hard drives (SATA)
Optical drive(PATA)
Sound Card (Audigy, original)
New parts:
Thermaltake Graphic Card PSU (250 watt)
MSI 8800 GTS (640MB, with PCI-E power connector)
Asus P5B-E
Core 2 Due E6600
OCZ plat. rev 2 2x1GB kit
So I get it, hook it all up, and no video. No beep codes, no pop or smoke, no errors, no nothing.
What I've tried:
So I unhook sound card, CD, HDD and FDD drives, all nonessential components. Just memory, Motherboard, CPU and Video Card are hooked up. No video still. So I unhook RAM. Get a beep code(good, northbridge is at least ~normal). I unhook the video card power. Beep code from video card (unexpected but good - it's not totally fried. Didn't think video cards had speakers). I re-check front LED lights: Power is steady on both the primary and the aux. power supply, the HDD activity light flashes on on start and immediately cuts off(good - there are no drives connected) . Aux. PSU reads good on 12v¹ and nothing on 12v² (good - 12v¹ is hooked up to the card, 12v² is not hooked up). I then try connecting the video card to the primary power supply (Antec truepower 450w), still no video. I tried switching the RAM slots.
After all this I think it's the video card, but I'm not sure, as I can't check any of the components. I have no PCI-E video cards, no LGA-775 CPUs, no DDR-2 RAM, and no extra motherboard supporting any of that.
Any input would be helpful.
