Hey ya'll I've recently been running into some troubles getting my computer set back up after I had it stored away while moving. Everything was working fine for a bit but after a BSOD (IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL), I can't seem to get the video to work on my rig.

The motherboard doesn't beep, because as I've observed there is no speaker attached where the pins are for it on the board. Which leaves me without a clue what kind of error code could possibly be occurring.

Here's some things I've done to try and troubleshoot.

I've taken the vid card, hdds, and ram out and reinstalled them all, plus rearranged the wiring on my modular PSU. This has worked in the past, but not now. (The disappearing video is a persistent yet random issue).

I have unplugged the HDDs, still no problems solved, this as well has worked in the past.

I have tried both DVI ports on the card (GeForce GTX 460) plus the HDMI out, and nothing comes up. I've attempted using the DVI to VGA adapter, same story.

The video card is running it's fan so I assume its been fine, and I have never had any issue with the card running resource heavy games or anything. But who know it could be the card.

Any suggestions on how I can identify if this is an issue with the card or with the mobo? I'm going to try seeing if the card will work in my friends computer, if he has PCI-e ports. But if there are any other troubleshooting steps I can take to find the problem, or if anyone has had this same issue with this board before please let me know what I can do.

P.S. It doesn't help that the mobo lacks integrated graphics to test if it's the card or not.

Try running the computer with one stick of RAM, if you have more than one. If you have access to another computer, pull the minidumps off your hard drive and look at them with a program like WhoCrashed.

And we have video! Thank you! I did once upon a time add more memory to my computer. Originally I was running two 1 gb Crucial Ballistix Tracer cards which never gave me issues. I then added two 2 gb PNY cards bringing me to 6gb. I cannot recall if the issues had started then.

Hopefully this keeps up. So whats the issues with the RAM here?

Hard to say since it won't run with it. Could be compatibility, could be speed, could be a bad stick.
