I've tried pretty much everything, but here's the info:

Soyo 5eMA Socket 7 Board
250 W. PS
Pentium 233 MMX
64 MB PC 100
TNT2 Ultra Vid Card

When I press the power button I get all the drives spinning, but I get no BIOS beeps or post, nor do I get video. I've looked at all of my jumper sets, check my cables and connections from the case to the mb, but still nothing.

This machine was having problems booting to begin with, so I cleared the CMOS to defaults and it posted, but still wouldn't boot, now the thing won't boot at all.

This I also had the same problem with this machine before, but I replace the motherboard and it started working fine again, now 10 months later the same problem. I'm beginning to suspect it's the PS. Any ideas?

if you have a friend that would be willing to let you plug your stuff into his machine I would recommend testing each component seperately. Basically that will isolate your problem. If it all works well, and from your description, maybe your PS is killing your mobos... what PS do you have?

Unfortunely a 250 W generic (Deer Creek is the label on the side of it). I know all of the components are good as the machine works fine after it boots up. But the problem I was having was that it wasn't booting, it would get through the BIOS post then nothing, but after a few attempts it would seem like it would go ahead and boot into Windows. I finally got tired of that problem and finally tried to fix it and now I'm in the current situation as mentioned in my first post. The more I think about it, the more I want to think it's the power supply.

I was reading in another post about BIOS freezes, that's what this almost sound like. I've just tried to reset my BIOS again and nothing. Could I have fired my BIOS chip? I smell nothing funny coming out of the case?
