Just built a cheap comp for a friend. Cant get any video.

Abit IS7 V2
Nvidia 5200 Fx
1.6 ghz w/ cooler master
256 pc3200
80gb 7200 8mb cache
52x cdrw
codegen 350 watt

Powers on fine, but the monitor doesnt pick up the card....

no video could mean something's wrong with the motherboard, cpu, ram, video card, or even some other component.

Try unplugging everything you can until you just have the video, cpu, psu, and one stick of ram in the motherboard. If that works, start plugging things in (with it turned off of course) until you find the piece that makes it not work.

If it doesn't work, swap out the motherboard, cpu, ram, or video until you find the bad part.

It could be a crap load of things.

Does the comp do the beep ONCE at the beginning of the boot up?

What does the monitor show? Could be the video cable.
