No Video in WMP

I am having some difficulty playing video's in media player when I am alt-tabbed out of games. I can hear the sound just fine but I cannot see any of the picture. The problem fixes itself when I quit the 3d game or app. Is this normal with the 7800gtx? It does not happen on my other computer with an x800pro. I am using a Asus 7800gtx with the 91.47's installed. Thanks in advance.

Well i doubt that this has anything to do with your gfx card. This would more than likely have to do with the power of your cpu and your ram and also what game your playing. Now obviously you'd be playing the game on the highest gfx with a 7800gtx, so that would use up a lot of it.

So what is your cpu speed and how much ram do you have?

or, the video is encoded in 32 bit, lets say, and you are playing 16bit color game or something..
