No Video Display During POST

Silly me, disabling the onboard video shared memory without a graphics card installed.
Now, during the POST, I see nothing. I don't even know if the system is running the POST.
Help . . . . me . . . . please . . . . (deep sigh)

Ooops 🙂 Try resetting the CMOS. If you need help with that, post what brand/model of computer or motherboard you're working with.

Thanks for the tip😀
My motherboard is an ECS PM800-M2.
In the manual, I see the jumper description "CLEAR CMOS."
Is this what you mean?

That's the one 🙂

1) Unplug the computer from the wall

2) Remove the round CMOS battery from its holder

3) Move the CLEAR CMOS jumper from the Normal position to the Clear position for about 15 seconds, then move it back to Normal

4) Take a snack break (optional) 😀

5) Replace the battery

6) Plug the computer back in

That should restore it to default settings and it should begin using its onboard video as its primary video again. Don't be alarmed by a message to the effect of CMOS CHECKSUM BAD or so on, at the first startup. Hope that helps 🙂
